To purchase seats for your organization on WhiteStar chat, please visit www.whitestar.io and click on the link to contact a sales representative in the top right-hand corner of the screen. From there, we will be glad to assist you in onboarding your organization, including white-glove setup and personalized service to help make sure your organization is properly onboarded.

To download WhiteStar Chat for your Apple iOS or Apple Silicon macOS device, please visit the Apple App store and search the keywords “WhiteStar Chat”. From there, simply download the app as you would any other application.

After downloading WhiteStar Chat, simply use the email address that your organization administrator registered on WhiteStar.io when onboarding onto WhiteStar Chat. Your seat will automatically be claimed and you will be subscribed to WhiteStar services. Your organization administrator may have alternatively provided you with a claim-code that you can use to claim a seat. If they have provided you a claim-code link, simply follow that link and input your desired name and email address, which will claim the seat for you. After that, return to the WhiteStar Chat app, and use the same email you just registered during onboarding. This will activate the seat and your WhiteStar subscription will now be valid.

To remove someone from your organization, simply go to the WhiteStar.io administration portal and search for the intended individual in your manager. Click the action button on the right-hand portion of the screen and then click “remove”. This will remove the individual from your organization, free up the seat, and invalidate their subscription. This will not remove the information from their device, however it will prevent them from being able to send additional messages on their application. Note, they will continue to receive messages in chats they are a part of. Please make sure to remove that individual from any chats that may contain sensitive data if needed.

WhiteStar Chat is billed on a per-orgnazation basis, with discounts provided for large organizations or organizations who are doing humanitarian work.

Absolutely not. Under no circumstances will a WhiteStar product ever collect user data or metadata for any corporate purpose. We believe monetizing user data is a violation of the trust you place in us when you use our applications.

Also, absolutely not. KeyP locally processes some keyboard input data to help better understand what you’re typing and provide you with predictive results when you’re typing, but unlike other keyboards, KeyP never sends any keystrokes off your device, nor does it keep a record of the things you type anywhere but on your phone. We consider that information to be highly sensitive, and thus any data from KeyP that’s generated is kept under heavy encryption, just like all the other data from WhiteStar Chat.

Again, absolutely not. WhiteStar Chat’s data can only be accessed using a set of encryption keys that are only stored on your device, and no where else. We want to emphasize this: we do not store your password, or your private keys anywhere. This does carry with it the net side effect of WhiteStar being unable to recover your device if you lose your password, so make sure you set up a recovery buddy when you join WhiteStar Chat, or keep your password written down somewhere safe. However, this is a small tradeoff when you consider the benefit of such a secure system, being that truly no one can access your data without your knowledge or consent.

All WhiteStar apps are compliant with the idea that a person has a right to be forgotten. To that end, we built Zeroization into the network, which allows users to remove all of their content that they have ever sent, along with their user endpoint, and “zeroize” themselves as if they were never there. Zeroization should only be used as a method of last resort, and makes all information irrecoverable forever. For enterprises who have data-retention requirements, Zeroization can be removed from WhiteStar Chat or customized to fit your needs.
